As we embark on this New Year, I realized that God has given us
power to do His will in our lives.  But we must be cautious about our
                                                          words and our actions.

As you read “The Power of Words” by C. Roachford, you will learn
that the power of words create, build up or tear down self and others.

“ Don’t Negotiate Just Surrender” by G. Hamilton, tells us to stop trying
to pick and choose which of God’s directives you’ll follow.

I believe these articles will be a blessing to you.

         The Power of Words
                                                                  by Missionary Claudette Roachford

Whatever you confess, you will possess!

My head is killing me; my feet are killing me;  you make me sick; I’m broke; you get
on my nerve; I’m catching a cold; I have asthma; I’m getting sick; I can’t help it.  How
many times  a day do you hear these confessions or say one or more of them yourself?
The human family has been endowed  with one of the highest  forms of communication.
“The Power of Speech, words, language.”  No  other species have this form of
communication.  We were also given the power to change anything about our
environment or surroundings that we deem unacceptable by the words we speak.
Yet, sadly, we  fall short of that goal.

The holy scriptures records that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
In other words, you possess what you confess, you get what you say!  When you say something,
you energetically put the wheels into motion that will manifest it into reality.
James tells us
that the tongue is an unruly member that kindles a great fire.  So be careful what you allow
your tongue to spe
ak because you set that thing in motion in your life.
Proverbs 12:18  There
 is that
speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health."

The book of Genesis records that God made us in his image and his likeness.  He gave us
power to do whatever we put our heart, mind, or speech to.  The only thing we are powerless
to do is save our selves from sin; but God has completed that task for us already.  When  there
was no one else good enough to pay the penalty, Jesus Christ was prepared as the perfect
sacrifice and took our place.  The creation account records that God CREATED BY THE
 POWER OF WORDS.
He said, Let There Be and there was! The whole universe and all that
it entails was created by the word of God.  God has given us that same creative power of
words/speech/ language.  So let’s be conscious of what we
what we confess because our words
have power to create, build up or tear down self and others!

Please note that when the whole earth was of one language that man communicated
and decided to build a tower to reach heaven.  They were of one mind and one speech.
Had not God confounded the language, they would have indeed reached heaven by their
own standard and the spoken word.  Today, we observe how man has developed the ability
to communicate and bring the world with all its different languages together via satellite
and technology.  Although the purpose and intent is not God centered, yet it is being used
to spread the gospel news of love.  If any people should get to heaven, It must be God’s way.

Since we have been given the creative power of speech, we have the ability to create by
the words we speak.  Therefore, we must begin to choose our words carefully as we speak
them over our lives, the lives of loved ones and especially our children.  Our words have
creative power.  When we speak words, whether positive or negative, it sets that spoken
word in motion to become a reality.  The centurion of Matthew 8 came to Jesus on behalf
of his sick servant to request healing for him.  Now, according to him, although he
considered himself unworthy of the benefits that Jesus had to offer, he was a man of faith.
He told Jesus that there was no need for a personal visit but ‘ “speak the word only’ and
my servant shall be healed”.
This shows that regardless of who exercises faith, God honors
it; because without faith, it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6.  When faith is mixed
with the spoken word, mountains crumble, fig trees dry up; heads lead by example, feet
walk, every member function according as God created it.  We begin to live the abundant,
fulfilled life as was originally created, and intended by God, the Creator.

Only You Have The Power To Change Your Speech To Positive
Confessions Instead Of Negative Ones.

Romans 10:8  say the word is nigh thee even in thy mouth.  We must practice to call
those things that are not as though they were to bring them into reality because our words
have power!  Romans4:17.  Say only those words according to the way you want  things
to be and  observe its manifestation in your life.  It may be that you must change your
eating habits, or change the way you think, or change your attitude, or change your
perception, or discipline yourself, or change your relationships, or separate yourself
from the crowd, or follow the teachings of the scriptures as you search them instead of
the traditions and opinions of man.  Look carefully at what you are doing.  If it is not
bringing you the desired results, then change what you are doing.  You  have the ability
and the power to affect change in your life.  God gave it to you when He gave you the
Power of Speech.

Begin by doing what the scriptures recommend in Philippians 4:8 “Finally brethren,

·         Whatsoever things are true,

·         Whatsoever things are honest,

·         Whatsoever things are just

·         Whatsoever things are pure,

·         Whatsoever things are lovely

·         Whatsoever things are of a good report

·         If there be any virtue, and If there be any praise,

Think On These Things!”

         Don't Negotiate Just

                                                       Surrender

                                                     by Minister Gabriel Hamilton

Do you have a constant hunger and thirst for righteousness or when it comes to
devouring the word of God you become a picky eater?

Today we are going to learn to stop trying to negotiate and just surrender.  The word
negotiate is a business term defined as discussing a matter in order to reach an agreement
or meet halfway.  We live in a day and age where so many believe that they can talk, buy,
or rationalize, their way out of anything.  Unfortunately, many saints of God believe the
same thing.  They have been disillusioned into believing that they are so special that they
can re-negotiate their contract with God that they signed with their mouth when they
originally accepted the Lord’s gift of salvation or His call.

Beloved the word of the Lord is settled in the Heavens.  And the Lord declares in
Malachi 3:6a “For I am the Lord, I change not;”.  God has never been and never
will be interested in negotiating.  To God that means that you find something wrong with
His covenant.

What does a negotiator do? A negotiator tries to convince another person that his or
her plan will satisfy both parties.  The Lord isn’t satisfied unless you obey.  He stays true
to His word,  and expects and requires you to stay true to yours.  However, in dealing with
the things of God those who try to negotiate are not only trying to bargain with God, but
are also trying to justify in their eyes thatwhat they are doing is right.  The Word
declares in Proverbs 14:12, “That there is a way which seemeth right unto a
man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
I need for you to understand
that death is more than just taking your last breath.  It is a separation/ disconnect
from receiving all God has for you.  Some of you are have-nots because you have
tried to rationalize what you’ll adhere to and what you won’t adhere to.  Thus going
back to the question, “Are you a picky eater when it comes to the word of God?”  In
other words, do you try to pick and choose what you’ll eat?

After the Lord called the prophet Ezekiel to be His watchman in the third chapter
of the same book the Lord commanded Ezekiel to eat the whole roll that he placed in
front of him.  The roll in some translations is called the scroll.  In any event the command
was to eat the whole thing.  The roll/scroll represented the word of God that needed to
be delivered to the house of Israel.  Ezekiel didn’t try to
negotiate by saying Lord how
about I eat only 2/3 of this roll and sacrifice two doves.  That would have been
disobedience.  I hear in the spirit right now somebody say at least he would have
eaten some of it and made a sacrifice.  That’s the problem.  Too many saints of God
are looking at God’s commandments as though they were suggestions.  They are not
suggestions from God.  They are the stipulations that are part of His covenant with
every believer.  Stop trying to negotiate and rationalize everything and just surrender
to the perfect will of God for your life.  When you pick and choose which of God’s
directives you’ll follow you miss out.  Ask Moses.  In Numbers 20:8 The Lord gave
Moses specific instructions.  In a nutshell God told him to take his rod, gather the people,
and speak to a rock and it would give the children of Israel and their beasts water to drink.
Well Moses took his rod, gathered the people but instead of speaking to rock like the
Lord directed he hit the rock twice. Yes water still came out and satisfied the people
and their animals. And yes Moses was still used of God to bring refreshment and
leadership to his people.  However, Moses brought himself into condemnation.  As
a result of his disobedience the Lord told him that because he blatantly disobeyed
he would not be able to enter into the promised land.  Moses followed most of God’s
directives, but not all.  As a result, even though God was still going to use him he
would be still relegated to and condemned to die in the wilderness.  My brothers and
sisters please take heed.  Some of you are going to miss out on your land of  milk and
honey because you want to do what you want to do instead of surrendering  your will
to what God wants.  It’s time to redeem the time.

Praying and fasting is good but not good enough if you don’t tithe. Tithing is good
but not good enough if you don’t feed the hungry. Feeding the hungry is good but not
good enough if you forsake the assembling of yourselves together. Forsaking not the
assembling of yourselves together is good but not good enough if you don’t stop
murmuring and complaining. Not murmuring and complaining is good but not good
enough if you don’t forgive your brothers and sisters. Forgiving your brothers and
sisters is good but not good enough if you don’t cast down imaginations, and every
high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Stop trying to pick and choose which you should do. Do it all.  It’s not up for
negotiation.  Watchmen and watchwomen of the most High, God wants you to
eat the whole roll.

 Dressed up Sin

From the E-Mail Bag

                            God’s Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,

Which God gave me to hold

He said, “Put all your sorrows in the black box,

And all your joys in the gold.”

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,

Both my joys and sorrows I stored,

But though the gold became heavier each day,

The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,

I wanted to find out why,

And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,

Which my sorrows had fallen out of.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,

“I wonder where my sorrows could be!”

He smiled a gentle smile and said,

“My child, they’re  all here with me..”

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,

Why the gold and the black with the hole?

“My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,

The black is for you to let go.”
